CAD & System Architecture

Designed the full experiment housing and sensor integration in SolidWorks. The assembly includes SMA actuator mounts, thermocouple interfaces, and a custom PCB for burn wire drivers — all within the NanoRacks form factor.

Thermal & Structural Simulation

Ran transient thermal and structural simulations in ANSYS to validate SMA actuation behavior and ensure components stay within safe temperature ranges. Modeled contact interfaces and verified radiation-hardened sensor tolerances.
